Home Repair Workshop Series

Join us for Home Repair Essentials, a workshop series presented by Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery and Delaware Counties in partnership with Media Fellowship House.
Whether you own your home or rent, understanding basic home maintenance and repair can help you save money, prevent costly damage, and feel more confident caring for your living space.
Join us for this free five-part workshop series designed to provide practical, hands-on education about maintaining your home, responding to common household emergencies, understanding major home systems, hiring trustworthy contractors, and planning for long-term accessibility.
Each workshop combines demonstrations, interactive activities, and take-home resources you can use long after the series ends.

- September 14 – Seasonal Maintenance, Home Upkeep & Insurance Basics
- September 28 – DIY Emergency & Temporary Home Repairs
- October 12 – Understanding Major Home Systems & Budgeting for Repairs
- October 26 – Hiring and Vetting Contractors
- November 9 – Aging in Place & Home Accessibility

- Anyone interested in learning practical home maintenance and repair skills
Registration Information
Registration is limited to 30 participants and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. This registration is for the entire five-part workshop series. Later in this form, you’ll have the opportunity to let us know if you expect to miss any workshop dates.
Participants who attend at least four of the five workshops will receive:
- A Certificate of Completion
- Workshop materials and take-home resources, including checklists and maintenance guides
Participants who attend ALL five workshops will receive a small gift and a chance to enter our gift card raffle!
