SUMMARY:Community Dinner & Film Screening
DESCRIPTION:Join us for Media Fellowship House’s monthly community potluck\, featuring a special film screening. Together\, we’ll share a meal and reflect on a mother’s love\, the impact of incarceration\, and the hope for healing and change. \n\n\n\nFor Venida\, For Kalief: An Abstract Nomadic Media Production \n\n\n\nThis film screening is the first of a four-part series presented as part of Media Fellowship House’s year-long partnership with multimedia artist and activist Mary DeWitt\, made possible by the 2026 Media Artist + Activist Residency grant from the Leeway Foundation. The films are made possible through the Represent Justice Screening Circle initiative. Through film\, art\, and community dialogue\, the series explores incarceration\, racial justice\, healing\, and social change—creating opportunities to learn from lived experiences\, share perspectives\, and turn reflection into action. \n\n\n\nContent note: This film addresses incarceration\, solitary confinement\, and suicide and may not be suitable for younger audiences. \n\n\n\nMedia Fellowship House will provide the main dish.
