This moving portrait reveals how the legacy of slavery continues to shape our systems—and how healing and justice can begin through community action and policy change.The film is produced by John Pace\, a dedicated advocate for youth justice and a leader at the Youth Sentencing & Reentry Project (YSRP). John and his team work to reduce the imposition\, duration\, and lifelong impact of adult criminal sentences on low-income children and their families. Through legal advocacy and storytelling\, YSRP ensures that young people are seen as more than their charges—giving judges the opportunity to hear their full story before determining their fate.YSRP’s approach helps young people stay connected to their communities while incarcerated\, and provides critical support as they return home. DESCRIPTION:Join us for relaxed Tuesday evening figure drawing sessions monitored and organized by Media Arts Council! Each week will feature an unclothed model for drawing study and practice. Beginners and experts alike are welcome to join class and work in any medium. The sessions are designed to provide artistic community and fellowship to the artists of Media and beyond. Feel free to bring snacks and drinks to enjoy or share with new friends. Poses will range in length from 1-20 minutes \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSupporting local artists\n\n\n\nMedia Arts Council (MAC)\n\n\n\nMedia Fellowship House is excited to host Media Arts Council (MAC) programming in our space after their move from their State Street location in August 2024. Please check out the other great programming MAC offers! \n\n\n\nThe mission of the Media Arts Council is to actively support local artists and integrate a wide range of arts into the life of the entire community.
