SUMMARY:Hey Neighbor! A TTGM Event
DESCRIPTION:Join Transtiion Town Greater Media (TTGM) on Sunday\, August 16 from 4-6 PM for a potluck meal with a twist. Meet your neighbors and help weave some community connections. \n\n\n\nHere’s how it will work:  We’ll gather between 4 and 6PM\, no official start or end. Come when you can and stay as long as you’d like! \n\n\n\nPlease bring a dish to share made from locally produced food. This could be something from your personal garden\, your local farmers market or CSA\, or something you’ve recently foraged. \n\n\n\nWe also ask you to think about something you need or could use help with (Request) and/or something you can offer to help with (Offer). Requests and Offers can be really simple things like offering to provide a ride to a doctor appointment\, sharing a conversation for an hour\, or playing a game. They could also be skills that you have and are willing to share\, such as how to do some kind of artwork\, gardening help\, pet care or handy work around the house. It’s really anything you can imagine! At the end of the night\, we will match the Requests to the Offers so that everyone can get the help they need. *Note: If you can’t think of an offer and a request\, come anyway!  Maybe you’ll be inspired. \n\n\n\nBesides sharing a delicious meal\, our goal is to have you leave with at least one simple connection to help someone or have someone help you. Most importantly\, we want you to have fun\, meet some neighbors and connect. \n\n\n\nThat’s it! \n\n\n\nThe TTGM Resilience Working Group will have hosts circulating to help you find the right connection piece. We’ll also have a table with useful information on preparing for emergencies\, learning more about resilience and edible foods that grow in our area (foraging). \n\n\n\nMeeting Details: \n\n\n\nWhere:  Media Fellowship House\, 302 S Jackson St\, Media PA 19063 \n\n\n\nWhen:  Sunday\, August 16\, anytime between 4PM and 6PM (the earlier the better!) \n\n\n\nWhat to bring:  A dish made from local food and an idea of one thing you can offer and one action you could use help with. \n\n\n\nWho are we? We promote small actions that help move our neighborhood forward in service of a more interconnected and prepared community for changing times.
